You can find more information about our Sturgeon fishing in Chilliwack services.

Sturgeons are gentle prehistoric giants that have no teeth and are acrobatically gifted when they are on the end of the line.

There is a very good reason they are called the Marlin’s of the freshwater; sturgeon enjoy jumping out of the water.

Sturgeons are the largest freshwater fish and fights can vary depending on the size of the fish and the attitude of the fish.

They are capable of growing over 10 feet long, making them a truly mesmerizing fish to catch.

Typically, once the fish is on the boat will start up and move with the fish on the river.

Fights can vary from a few minutes to a few hours to be prepared for a workout!

We recommend using 10/0 hooks that are BARBLESS (mandatory) and around 200-pound line.

There are many kinds of bait you can use for sturgeon, including Salmon, Roe and Pike Minnows.

We recommend pike minnows due to the fact that they are considered the largest invasive species in freshwater British Columbia, and they heavily impact the salmon species so getting rid of them is beneficial to the freshwater ecosystem.

It is important to remember that sturgeons are a protected species here in British Columbia, so it is strictly catch and release!
